Kicking-off with Football in the English FA Cup 3-round Replays – Aleksandar Kolarov netted in the 90th minute to earn Manchester City a 4-2 win over Leicester City.
City will next face Notts County away in the fourth round.

In other rescheduled fourth-round ties – Wolves will play at home against Stoke City.

Wolves thrashed Doncaster Rovers 5-0 in their replay; and Stoke City were forced into extra-time by Cardiff City and eventually managed a 2-0 win.

Elsewhere in Europe - in the Spanish Cup – defending champions Seville beat Villarreal 3-0 to progress into the semi-finals winning 6-3 on aggregate.

And in Italy’s Coppa Italia – Napoli have set up a quarter-final date with holders Inter Milan after they defeated Bologna 2-1 in their round-of-16 clash.

To Qatar now and in the AFC Asian Cup – in Group C – Australia nicked a 1-0 win over Bahrain to qualify for the quarters.

The Australians top their group ahead of South Korea on goal difference –despite the Korean’s 4-1 win over India.

Final group ties to be played later tonight in Group D – 3 countires are vying for 1 more quarter-final spot.

Iran who are already through to the last 8 play against Uzbekistan; and Iraq will face North Korea – both games will kick-off just after mid-night.

Finally in Tennis and in the Australian Open – it was easy wins for 11th seed Justine Henin who brushed aside Elena Baltacha of the UK 6-1, 6-3; and world number 1 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark breezed past Vania King of the USA 6-1, 6-0.

In Men’s action – American Andy Roddick defeated Russian Igor Kunitsyn 7-6, 6-2, 6-3 to move into Round 3.
