Football first and following the sacking of of Sam Allardyce on Monday Blackburn Rovers' new owners, Venky's, will give current caretaker manager Steve Kean a chance to take over the role permanently.
Venky’s have already revealed that they are keen to appoint a British manager who could guide Rovers into the Premier League's top five and, although Kean may prove a shock choice to many.
Kean will be in the dug-out for their game against West Ham at Ewood Park this weekend.

In Motor-sports – Michael Schumacher insists he "feels good" about his decision to return to Formula One this year.
The seven-time world champion was expected to challenge for the title this year, but he failed to beat team-mate Nico Rosberg, let alone compete for the championship.
Schumacher eventually finished ninth in the drivers' standings with 72 points - 70 points behind Rosberg.

Finally in Baskteball – in the ABL – the Singapore Slingers fell to their second home defeat this season losing 83 to 73 against Satria Muda BritAma of Indonesia last night.
Down by 5 at the half time, Satria Muda outscored the Slingers 25 – 11 in the third quarter, lead by Francis Adriano who contributed 9 of his 11 points in that span.
Satria Muda took over the momentum with a 60 – 51 lead into the final period.
With the win Indonesia’s hopes for a playoff are kept alive and they stave off elimination for another few days.
For the Slingers they’ll hope to seal a spot in the playoffs when they travel to the Philippines this Saturday and play against the Patriots at the Ynare Arena in Manila.
