Football and in the English Premiership – Manchester United moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League table as Nani's comeback goal earned a 2-1 home win over Stoke City.

Javier Hernandez put the hosts ahead with a first-half back-flick, his ninth goal of the season.

But Dean Whitehead nodded home a shock equaliser for Stoke at the start of the second-half – but Nani restored United’s lead in the 62nd minute.

Elsewhere – Fulham beat West Bromwich Albion 3-0; while Birmingham City won 2-1 at Blackpool.

More Premiership ties played later tonight – Arsenal will host Manchester City at the Emirates; Chelsea play away at Wolves; Blackburn Rovers will entertain Liverpool; and Everton will take on Tottenham Hot Spurs at Goodison Park.

Finally in Tennis – Justine Henin continued her winning return to competitive tennis at the Hopman Cup yesterday.

The former world number one, playing her first tournament since Wimbledon due to an elbow injury, followed up her win over Alicia Molik on Saturday with a straight-sets 6-4 6-3 victory over Kazakhstan's Sesil Karatantcheva.

Henin is enjoying her first experience of playing in Perth as she builds-up for the season-opening grand slam in Melbourne starting from the 17th of this month.
