We tip-off with Basketball and in the ABL The Singapore Slingers have tied their semi-final series at 1-all after an astonishing 90-76 win over the Thailand Chang Slammers.
Playing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last night – Al Vergara scored 21 second half points including 13 in a decisive third quarter rally that gave the Slingers a comfortable 22 point cushion.
With this victory the Singapore Slingers have forced a decisive Game 3 with the Slammers which will take place in Bangkok this Sunday where the winner face the Philippine Patriots in the finals.

Football now and in the English Premiership – Manchester United kept their unbeaten streak this season intact with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford .
Wayne Rooney scored a brace in the first-half and a Nemanja Vidic goal in the 63rd minute have put the Devils 5 points ahead of nearest rivals Arsenal who managed to comeback from a goal down to beat Everton 2-1.
Elsewhere – Chelsea managed a 4-2 win at Sunderland; and West Bromwich Albion’s Antonie Fortune’s strike 11-minutes from time gave his side a 2-all draw against Wigan Athletic.
Finally more Premiership ties later tonight – a new-look Liverpool-side will host Stoke City at Anfield; Fulham play Newcastle United at Craven Cottage; Birmingham City will take on Manchester City; and Blackburn Rovers will host Tottenham Hot Spurs at Ewood Park.
