We start with Football – and with hours left to the Europa League Finals – Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is sweating over the fitness of leading scorer Bobby Zamora.

Zamora missed training on Tuesday stricken with an Achilles injury that required a pain-killing injection to play in the semi-final against Hamburg two weeks ago.

Fulham will take on Atletico Madrid in the final showdown in Germany at 2:45am Thursday Singapore Time.

Back home in the S-League – Tampines Rovers beat Albirex Niigata 3-nil at the Tampines Stadium last night.

Goals from Akihiro Nakamura and a brace from Aleksandar Duric secured all 3-points for the Rovers who now have a 6-point lead at the top ahead of Etoile FC.

However Etoile can close that gap once more to 3 points if they beat Sengkang-Punggol in a crunch match at the Jalan Besar Stadium this evening.

That tie will start at 7:30pm.

In NBA Basketball – The Boston Celtics have taken a crucial 3-2 lead in their best-of-7 semi-final series against The Cleveland Cavaliers.

Finally in Formula One – McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh says he is unconcerned by the very real threat of a rain-interrupted Monaco Grand Prix.

Whitmarsh says his drivers are good in all conditions.
