Football first – and Diego Forlan scored in the 116th minute to earn Atletico Madrid the Europa League title, with a 2-1 win over Fulham in Hamburg.

Forlan had put Atletico in front in the first half only for Simon Davies to level straight afterwards, but Forlan was not to be denied.

Back home in the S-League – Etoile FC kept pace with leaders Tampines Rovers when they piped Sengkang-Punggol 1-nil.

Playing at the Jalan Besar Stadium – Deniel Nna scored the winner for the French-outfit 14-minutes from time.

Looking ahead tonight – The Young Lions will entertain Home United at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

The Lions will want to score and collect three points to boost their side’s dismal performance in the S-League so far.

That tie will kick-off at 7:45pm.
