It’s Semi-finals day tonight in the FIFA World Cup – between Uruguay and the Netherlands – and Dutch goal-keeper Maarten Stekelenburg has joked that Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez deserves the title of the World Cup's best goalkeeper.
This after Suarez’s infamous handball against Ghana, but is glad his Ajax team-mate will be suspended tonight.
Suarez is banned for the World Cup semi-final in Cape Town after his deliberate handball on the line in the dying seconds of extra-time against Ghana saved Uruguay from elimination at the quarter-final stage.
And coupled with injuries and other suspensions Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez has been forced to make a number of changes for tonight’s tie.
The game between Uruguay and Holland will take place at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town and will kick-off at 2:30am.

Staying with football an in the S-League last night – Home United leap-frogged Tampines Rovers into second spot with a 2-nil win over Gombak United.
Shi Jiayi and Jun Woo Keun’s goals on either side of the half have now put the Protectors just 4 points away from leaders Etoile FC.
But Etoile has a chance of extending that lead to 7-points this evening with a win at home against lowly Albirex Niigata.
That tie will be played at the Queenstown Stadium – from 7:30pm.

Finally in Formula One – and with days left to the British Grand Prix – The President of the British Racing Driver’s Club, Damon Hill is fully expecting the battle for this year's Formula One world title to start to boil over at Silverstone.
Five drivers, spearheaded by a British one-two in Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, are separated by just 29 points as the season reaches its halfway point this weekend.
Hill who is the 1996 world champion added that with Red Bull duo Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber in the mix, along with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, he expects this year's title battle to go right down to the wire.
