Back on the pitch in the S-League last night – Geylang United squandered a 2-goal lead and ended up drawing 2-all away at the Young Lions.

Playing at the Lions’ den at the Jalan Besar Stadium – first half goals from Kin Jae Hong and Yasir Hanapi within 2 minutes of each other were cancelled out by Vasile Ghindaru’s own goal and Khairul Nizam’s second half strike.

The draw places the Young Lions in 6th place on the table with 35 points, similar with Gombak United who are ahead on goal difference.

And the Bulls can pull away tonight when they play against Sengkang Punggol at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

That tie between Gombak and Sengkang will kick-off at 7:30pm.

Finally in Golf – Lee Westwood has no desire to be remembered for second-place finishes, but another one this week could make him world number one.

The Masters and Open runner-up can know precisely what needs to happen in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron for him to get there.

No European has been number one since Nick Faldo in 1994, but if Westwood wins on Sunday – current World #1 Tiger Woods will have to finish second in the event to hold him off.
