We start with Football and Braga have qualified for the Champions League group stages after a memorable 4-3 victory over Sevilla;

Playing away – Lima netted a hat-trick as Braga won 4-3 in Spain to progress 5-3 on aggregate.

Elsewhere Werder Bremen required a late goal and extra-time to see off Sampdoria;

Partizan Belgrade defeated Anderlecht 3-2 on penalties in dramatic circumstances in Belgium; and Basle won 3-0 in Moldova to complete a 4-0 aggregate success over FC Sheriff.

In news off the pitch – in the English Premiership – Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson admitted the Javier Mascherano situation is getting "uncomfortable" for the Merseysiders.

The Argentina captain was left out of the squad after the clubs 3-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City after the Reds rejected a bid, believed to be about 16million pounds from Barcelona.

Finally in a Youth Olympic Games Update – with China bringing 68 athletes to the Youth Olympic Games, their chef de mission Cai Zhenhua is confident that future Olympic champions are among them.

Cai has said some of the athletes will definitely compete in the 2012 or 2016 Olympics, and there will definitely be someone who will be an Olympic champion;

but did not speculate on who they might be, though a number of athletes have caught his eye at the YOG.

And here’s a quick look at the Medal Tally after 10-days of competition – China are on top with 29 Gold, 16 Silver and 5 Bronze.

Russia are still in second place with 16 Gold, 13 Silver and 10 Bronze.

South Korea lie in third place with 10 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze.

Singapore are in 54th spot with 2 Silver and 2 Bronze.
