Football first and in the English Premiership – Manchester City recorded their biggest victory over Liverpool in 73 years beating them 3-nil at the Eastlands and laying down a marker for their season.

Gareth Barry netted the first before Carlos Tevez's dubious close range effort and penalty finished the Reds off in the second half.

Reds manager Roy Hodgson commented that you just have to accept it that Liverpool were unable to produce the level of performance necessary to get a good result.

Liverpool next play away on Thursday in Turkey in a Europa League qualifier and Manchester City will host Romania’s Timisoara.

Into Formula One now and Former FIA president Max Mosley believes Ferrari should lose their points from the German Grand Prix.

Ferrari were handed a $100,000 fine after using team orders in July's German Grand Prix where, through a coded message, the team ordered Felipe Massa to allow Fernando Alonso to pass him and take the victory.

This weekend the action is back at the Belgian Grand Prix.
