We race off with Formula One first and with just 3 days away to start of practices to the Singapore Grand Prix – Robert Kubica has played down his chances of a repeat of his Monaco performance here.

The Marina Bay circuit is often compared to the streets of Monte Carlo where a similar, high-downforce set-up is required.

Kubica qualified on the front row and then finished on the podium behind the two pace-setting Red Bulls in May this year.

Next Football – In the English Premiership – Arsene Wenger has been hit with a Football Association charge for his actions at the end of Arsenal's draw with Sunderland over the weekend.

The Arsenal boss appeared to remonstrate with the fourth official after Darren Bent drew level with the Gunners' 15 seconds after the allotted four minutes of added time had elapsed.

Under The FA's new fast-track procedures, Wenger has until this Thursday to respond to the charge.

And staying with Arsenal – Wenger has challenged his side to rise to the occasion later this evening and silence the Tottenham crowd.

The Gunners will take the short trip across north London for the Carling Cup third-round clash against Spurs.

In other Carling Cup third-round action – Stoke City will play against Fulham; Sunderland will host West Ham United; and Everton will play away at Brentford.
