We’re racing off with Formula One first and with hours away from the start of prcatices for the Singapore Grand Prix – a handful of F1 drivers have admitted they are concerned about the prospect of rain at this weekend's night.
In its two year history, the floodlit grand prix has not had a wet session but thunderstorms are forecast throughout the weekend.
F1's most experienced driver Rubens Barrichello has come out to say, it is already a very slippery track and luckily the officials have done a good enough job for the track not to be as bumpy as it was.
In other developments – Sebastian Vettel remains "optimistic" of being crowned Formula One world champion this season.
Vettel trails championship leader and Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber by 24 points.
Sandwiched in between the duo are three world champions in Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button;
The five drivers now set the scene for a pulsating end to the season which all begins this Sunday here at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Football now and in the Italian Serie A – Juventus were delt a blow to their title challenge when they were beaten 3-1 at home by Palermo;
and in the Spanish La Liga – Seville missd its chance to go top when they were held 1-all at home against Racing Santander; elsewhere Villarreal jumped to fourth with a 1-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna; and Malaga beat Getafe 2-0 away.

Finally back home – the S-League swings back to action at the Jalan Besar Stadium tonight where Balestier Khalsa will take on bottom-placed Woodlands Wellington.
The tie will kick-off at 7:30pm.
