It’s Football all the way – and first results in the Champions League Match-Day 3 – Real Madrid scored twice in two minutes to beat AC Milan 2-0 in their Group G tie.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil were on target for the Spanish giants who now take control of their group with maximum points.

Also achieving maximum points in Group H were Arsenal who hammered Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 with Jack Wilshere on the scoresheet as well as Eduardo on his return to the Emirates.

In another results Chelsea who won 2-0 at Spartak Moscow to maintain their 100% record in Group F; and in Group E – Bayern Munich saw-off CFR Cluj of Romania 3-2, while AS Roma of Italy were handed a shock 3-1 defeat by Swiss-side Basel at home.

Off the pitch news – and with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirming that Wayne Rooney will not sign a new deal…

United are already preparing for life without Wayne Rooney with Fernando Llorente their target this January.

And finally Back home in the S-League last night – Beijing Guoan were humbled 3-1 by Albirex Niigata at home.

Playing at the Yishun Stadium – the Japanese outfit were too strong for Beijing – after taking a 2-0 lead within the first 38 minutes.

More S-League action tonight as SAFFC will hope to cement fourth-spot with a win against bottom-placed Woodlands Wellington.

That tie will be played at the Jalan Besar Stadium and will kick-off at 7:30pm.
