We start with Champions League Football and in Matchday 6 results – Manchester United needed the point to finish top of Group C by drawing 1-all with Valencia.
United conceded their first goal in the Group-stage when Pablo scored for the visitors in the 32nd minute; however Andersen equalised in the second half for the Red Devils to win their Group.
In another Group C – Bursaspor of Turkey got their first point with a 1-all draw against Rangers of Scotland.
In Group A – Tottenham Hot Spurs advanced to the knock-out stage as group winners drawing 3-3 in a pulsating game away at FC Twente.
The draw was enough for Spurs to clinch the group as Inter Milan finish second – the Italian giants were beaten 3-0 away at Werder Bremen.
Elsewhere – in Group B Schalke 04 defeated Benfica to win their group and Lyon of France could only pick out a 2-2 draw with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
And in Group D – Barcelona scored a 2-0 win over Russia’s Rubin Kazan; whilst FC Copenhagen came out 3-1 winners against Panthinaikos.

In the AFF Suzuki Cup – 3-time winners Thailand have be elliminated from the competition going down 2-1 against co-host Indonesia in Jakarta.
The Thais took the lead in the 68th minute through Suree Sukha; but two penalties 10 minutes from time from Bambang Pamungkas gave Indonesia maximum points in their group and sent Bryan Robson’s men packing who ended the tie with 10-man.
With Thailand losing on the night – all Malaysia needed was a win against Laos and they did it in style thrasing their opponents 5-1 at Palembang.
Well later this evening all eyes will be focused on Group B’s conclusion – as holders Vietnam take on Singapore at the My Dinh Stadium;
and surprise package The Philippines will play against Maynamar and a win will see them through to the semis.
Both ties will kick-off at 8:30pm.
