We’ve got Football news all the way and in the English Premiership – Chelsea halted Manchester United’s race to a 19th title when they defeated the Devils 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
Wayne Rooney put the visitors in front first on the half-hour mark, but goals from new-signing David Luiz and a penalty from Frank Lampard in the second half handed the Blues all 3-points.

Staying in England and in the F.A. Cup 5th Round – Reading have beaten Everton 1-0 and are now through to the quarter-finals.
The Championship-side will next face either Manchester City or Aston Villa away with that 5th-round tie to be decided later tonight.
****
Moving over to Spain’s La Liga – Seville managed a 3-0 win over lowly Sporting Gijon; and in an earlier tie Mallorca had upset 5th-placed Espanyol 2-1 away.
****
And finally back home last night in the only S-League fixture played at the Jurong West Stadium – Gombak United repeated what they did last season and that is defeat Etoile FC.
The Bulls pulled off an almost impossible 1-0 win in the 90th minute even when playing with 10-men after Hamqaamal Shah was sent off three minutes before.
Reigning champions Etoile could have taken command at the top of the table if they had won – but now the opportunity is given to Home United tonight when they face Hougang away.
That tie will kick-off at 7:30pm.
