Football and reports coming out of the English Premiership say Roque Santa Cruz's loan move back to Blackburn Rovers is being tied up in time for him to play against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Sunday.
Santa Cruz, who has found his first-team opportunities severely restricted at Manchester City under Roberto Mancini will seal a return to Ewood Park in a move that will certainly help appease fans who remain sceptical about Rovers' new owners.

Back on the pitch and in Spain – Real Madrid came from a goal down to beat Atletico Madrid 3-1 at the Bernabeu in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie; earlier Almeria squeezed into the next round with a slender 1-0 win over Deportivo La Carouna.
Elsewhere in Italy – Juventus booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia as Gianluigi Buffon returned in a 2-0 win over Catania.
Juventus will play either Roma or Lazio in the next round.

In the AFC Asian Cup in Qatar – Saudi Arabia were sent crashing out of the Asian Cup following a 1-0 defeat to Jordan last night.
In the night’s other Group B tie – Japan managed a 2-1 win over Syria to top the group ahead of Jordan.
More AFC Asian Cup action again later this evening – at 9:15pm it’ll be the titanic clash between Austrlaia and South Korea; and just after mid-night Bahrain will play against India with both teams having to win to have any chance of qualifying for the next stage.

Finally – in Motor-sports – Fernando Alonso has tipped Michael Schumacher to be be his "most dangerous" rival ahead of the new Formula One season.
For only the second time in the sport's history there will be five world champions on the grid this year - Alonso, Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and last season's winner Sebastian Vettel.
The new season flags off in Bahrain this mid-March.
