We start with Football – and Jose Mourinho is expected to officially inform Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti in the next 24 hours of his intention to join Real Madrid.


Mourinho is contracted to the Italian-side until June 2012 but can exercise a clause in his deal to depart this summer.

Mourinho’s desire now is to seek a new challenge after leading Inter to a domestic double as well as the Champions League title.

Back on the pitch and results of some International Friendlies – England were second best against Meixco, but came away 3-1 winners at Wembley.

Ledley King and Peter Crouch both netted headers, before Guillermo Franco got one back and Glen Johnson smashed a superb strike to seal the win.

In other friendlies – Argentina thrashed Canada 5-nil; Portugal were held to an embarrassing goalless draw against Cape Verde; and World Cup hosts South Africa managed a 1-all draw against Bulgaria.

More friendlies coming up later tonight – Greece will have a taste of what Korea are made of when they play the North.

Greece play South Korea in a Group B clash at the finals in South Africa on the 12th of June.

Elsewhere – The Republic of Ireland will play against Paraguay; and The United States of America will take on the Czech Republic tomorrow morning at 8 Singapore Time.

In Tennis and in the French Open – Day 2 - Andy Murray produced a repeat of his epic Wimbledon comeback against France’s Richard Gasquet to avoid crashing out of the tournament.

The Frenchman suffered a spectacular collapse as fourth seed Murray won 4-6 6-7 6-4 6-2
6-1 in four hours and four minutes.

In another tie – Roger Fedderer eased into the next round with a 6-4 6-1 6-2 victory on Philippe Chatrier Court, which set up a second-round match with Colombia's Alejandro Falla.

Finally in NBA Basketball – The Orlando Magic scored a vital win in Game 4 of their best of seven series against the The Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Magic took the tie to overtime and won 96 to 92 away but trail 3-1 in the series; Game 5 is at the Amway Arena in Florida this coming Thursday morning.
