FIFA World Cup results in Day 4 action - World Champions Italy were held to a 1-all draw in Cape Town against Paraguay in a Group F tie.

After going down to a first half Antolin Alcaraz goal, the Italians fought back and from a corner scored the equalizer through Daniele de Rossi.

In earlier ties in Group E – Japan stunned Cameroon 1-nil with Keisuke Honda scoring the winner.

Also in Group E – favourites The Netherlands managed a 2-nil win over Denmark through an own goal from Simon Poulsen and another from Dirk Kuyt five minutes from time.

Looking ahead this evening at 7:30pm – Group F swings back into action when New Zealand face Slovakia at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium at Rustenburg.

Elsewhere Group G gets underway where The Ivory Coast play against Portugal in Port Elizabeth;

where Didier Drogba still awaits a decision by FIFA whether he will be allowed to play with a protective cast on his broken arm.

And later at 2:30am – 5 time World Champions Brazil will play North Korea at Ellis Park in Johannesburg in another Group G encounter.

Back home in the S-League – Sengkang Punggol were left rooted to the foot of the table with a 1-nil home loss against Home United.

Playing at the Hougang Stadium – Chun Jae Woon’s last minute penalty broke Dolphin-hearts and sent Home Untied up to fifth on the table.

More S-League action tonight – as Gombak United will play host to Beijing Guoan at the Jurong West Stadium.

That tie will kick-off at 7:30pm.
