Tennis now and in Wimbledon – in Ladies singles action World number 82 Tsvetana Pironkova caused one of the biggest upsets in the tounament’s history by knocking out Venus Williams.
The 22-year old Bulgarian won their quarter-final 6-2 6-3 as Williams produced an error-strewn display.
Venus’ sister Serena will now be the only top-20 women's seed in the Wimbledon semi-finals after beating China's Li Na 7-5 6-3.
Serena will play Petra Kvitova in the semis – where Kvitova staged a fightback against Kaia Kanepi winning 4-6 7-6 8-6 in an epic quarter-final tie.

Finally back home in the S-League – Sengkang Punggol had to come back twice to grab a point against the Young Lions after drawing 2-all.
And despite the draw at the Hougang Stadium last night – Sengkang still find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table with 13 points.
More action tonight as SAFFC will take on leaders Etoile FC at the Jalan Besar Stadium; that tie is slated to kick-off at 7:30pm.
