Swinging over to Golf – it was mixed feelings for Tiger Woods after he ended up with a 28th-place finish at the USPGA Championship over the weekend.
He had kept his world number one spot and he had done enough to avoid the humiliation of failing to qualify for the FedEx Cup play-offs.
But Woods did fail to earn an automatic spot on America's Ryder Cup team and will therefore need one of captain Corey Pavin's four wild cards on September 7.

Finally in a Youth Olypic Update – Singapore's Daryl Tan Jia Jun sparked celebrations in the host nation by winning its first Youth Olympic Games medal.
Tan guaranteed Singapore a taekwondo medal when he rallied against Myanmar's Naing Dwe Shein Shein to score a 6-5 quarterfinal victory in the men's 55kg category.
Despite defying expectations against Shein, 17-year-old Tan struggled against Iranian powerhouse Kaveh Rezaei in the semifinals and failed to advance to the gold medal bout.
