And staying at Anfield – Fulham’s Bobby Zamora believes former boss Roy Hodgson will help turn Liverpool's foundering season around.

Back on the pitch in the Singapore Cup Quarter-final first-leg tie last night – Bangkok Glass came from a goal down to beat South Melbourne 3-1 at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

The Thai outfit and the Australian side will meet again this Friday for the second-leg.

And tonight the S-League swings back into action – Woodlands Wellington will play against Gombak United at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

That tie will kick-off at 7:30pm.

Finally an update on the Commonwealth Games in New Dehli, India – Singapore grabbed its first two Golds of the Games through Shooting yesterday.

The Republic’s first Gold came from Gai Bin and Nigel Lim who amassed 1,094 points in the men's 50m Pistol final.

Singapore won its second gold through the women paring of Jasmine Ser and Aqilah Sudhir in the ladies 50m rifle.

And after two days of competition – this is how the medal tally looks like – Australia are tops with 9 Gold, 9 Silver and 5 Bronze;

hosts India are next with 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze;

England lie in third with 2 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze.

Singapore are in seventh-place with 2 Gold.
