We start with Football and Champions League Matchday 4 results – Tottenham Hotspur beat title holders Inter Milan 3-1 at White Hart Lane.
The win places Spurs at the top of Group A with a better goal difference than the Serie-A Champions; and with FC Twente in third place after their 2-0 away win at Werder Bremen.
In Group C – Manchester United’s goals from Bebe and Gabriel Obertan helped the Red Devils to a 3-0 win at Bursaspor.
However United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the victory over their Turkish opponents has come at a cost with Nani and Darren Fletcher sustaining injuries.
In another Group C tie – Valencia defeated Rangers 3-0 to move up to second in the group just behind leaders Manchester United.
In other results elsewhere – in Group B – Benifica managed a 4-3 win over Lyon of France; Hapoel Tel Aviv scored their first point with a 0-0 draw against Shalke 04 of Germany; and in Group D it was also 0-0 between Russia’s Rubin Kazan and Panathinaikos; and Barcelona were held to a 1-all draw against FC Copenhagen.

In Golf – Tiger Woods pointed to Lee Westwood's recent consistency in major championships as he paid tribute to his successor.
Woods acknowledged Westwood, who at one point in his career slipped out of the top 200 in the rankings, to be a worthy number one.
However Woods will have his first chance to return to the top when he competes in this week's HSBC Championship in Shanghai.

Finally in Formula One - Williams have agreed to supply the Hispania Racing F1 team with gearbox technology.
The cash-strapped HRT have yet to score a point in 17 races and their future beyond this season has been the subject of some speculation in the grand prix paddock.
However the link with the former world champions could be a step in the right direction.
