Kicking off with Football and in the English Premiership – Carlos Tevez scored a brace as Manchester City defeated Fulham 4-1 last night at Craven Cottage.

The victory over Fulham sees City close the gap at the top to within 3-points of Cheslea and Manchester United.

And in an earlier tie – two Morten Gamst Pedersen goals were enough to give Blackburn Rovers a 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

Elsewhere in Europe – in the Serie A – Inter Milan fell to a shock 2-1 loss away at Chievo – adding more pressure on Rafael Benitez; and Napoli moved up to thrid with a 4-1 thumping of Bologna.

In Spain – Atletico Madrid won 4-2 away at Real Sociedad; and Seville were handed a 2-1 defeat at home by Mallorca.

Finally in Golf – Ian Poulter secured his second victory of the year after producing a near faultless display to capture the UBS Hong Kong Open yesterday.

The 34-year-old shot a three-under-par 67 in the final round to finish one stroke ahead of compatriot Simon Dyson and Italian teenager Matteo Manassero.

And here’s a reminder that The Singapore Slingers are in action tomorrow night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium against The Brunei Barracudas.

The Slingers are in need of a win after their home loss to the Philippine Patriots last weekend and are hoping to complete a fourth-place finish to advance into the Play-offs.
