Football first and Carlo Ancelotti has firmly denied that he ever considered quitting as Chelsea coach over the weekend.
But despite Chelsea crashing to their third defeat in four games with a 1-0 reverse at Birmingham on Saturday, Ancelotti made it plain yesterday that he was here to stay ahead of their Champions League game against Group F whipping boys MSK Zilina tonight.
Looking ahead at other Champions League ties – AS Roma will host Bayern Munich; Arsenal play away at Braga and Ajax Amsterdam will battle it out with Real Madrid.

In the English Premireship – just one tie played overnight – Everton snatched a late equaliser at Sunderland with Mikael Arteta grabbing the crucial goal.
The Spaniard's 82nd-minute shot was deflected past keeper Craig Gordon by the helpless Phil Bardsley to ensure a topsy-turvy encounter ended all square at 2-all.

Finally in Motor-racing – Sebastian Vettel was 'knocked out' as an estimated 15,000 fans braved the cold over the weekend to welcome him home to Heppenheim.
Fans arrived in droves, waiting for hours, to catch a glimpse of Vettel a week after he became the F1 Champion at the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
The Red Bull driver became World Champion at the age of 23 and 135 days, the youngest ever. The previous youngest was McLaren's Lewis Hamilton in 2008, aged 23 and 301 days.
