We start with Football and UEFA has charged Jose Mourinho with improper conduct following the controversial second yellow cards earned by Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos in Real Madrid's 4-0 victory at Ajax.
Alonso and Ramos - as well as goalkeepers Iker Casillas and Jerzy Dudek - have also been charged.
Back in England – Tottenham Hotspur's plans to redevelop White Hart Lane have been approved by London Mayor Boris Johnson.
Johnson who could have overturned a decision to allow Spurs planning permission to construct a new 56,000-seater stadium, has chosen to give his backing to the project and Spurs are now free to progress unless the Government intervenes.

Staying with Football in the 16th Asian Games in Guanzhou, China – Japan have won the Men’s Football gold beating the U.A.E. 1-0 in the finals.
In the earlier battle for bronze – South Korea stunningly came back from 3-1 down to grab the bronze by beating Iran 4-3.

Finally in Tennis at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals – in Group B singles – Roger Federer has topped the group with a third win – overcoming Sweden’s Robin Soderling 7-6, 6-3.
